It was only a few years ago that real estate in the Mount Pleasant area of Vancouver, BC was inexpensive. Even as the city’s real estate market rose, the historic neighborhood maintained its working class roots.
This past year has seen condos for sale boom to new heights. Specifically, the Main Street area, from 2nd Avenue to 28th Avenue, has grown from a shady street to one of the fastest changing in the city.
Prices for 1 bedroom condos in new structures are just under half a million dollars. Townhomes, usually 2-3 bedrooms on 2 or 3 floors, likely start over $550,000.
